# Introduction to Smartmaster commissioning

Welcome to the Nexxtlab Installer Onboarding Series.

This guide provides a step-by-step overview of the full commissioning process for

the Smartmaster solution.

The commissioning process is divided into three main stages:

 

**1. Pre-installation**

This stage can be completed remotely. It involves creating and configuring the site

topology in the web portal before going on-site.

 

**2. On-site Installation & configuration**

Once on-site, you’ll install the physical Smartmaster device and finalize the

configuration to bring the system live.

 

**3. Strategy & Settings**

After the system is up and running, you’ll apply the appropriate energy

management strategy tailored to your site’s needs.

 

**You will receive your login credentials for the web portal via email.**

Once logged in, you can begin the commissioning process.
